Okay, I must share with you a service that I think totally rocks! I am so addicted to it and remember, I have this issue with being consistent. Well, this keeps me consistent and up-to-snuff. It’s called PhilosophersNotes. My Gaia and Facebook buddy, Brian Johnson, has read all of these great personal development books and summarized them as a six-page PDF and a 20-minute MP3 audio. Sometimes we just don’t have the time to read all the books on our list, or even on our nightstand. Brian has done it for us! How cool is that?

Brian says: "I'm committed to inspiring (& empowering) you to live your greatest life. After selling my last business (Zaadz) in 2007, I decided to give myself a Ph.D. in How to Live/Optimal Living with a specialization in Greatness, Bliss and Enthusiasm." How cool is that?

What I love about this is that Brian is committed to giving away one million subscriptions of PhilosophersNotes. Check out this YouTube video of Angela Stokes of RawReform.com promoting the service. One of my daily 10’s is to read and/or listen to three PhilosophersNotes. Remember, be consistent! I believe that excessive use of this service will aid you into becoming not only purposeful but consistent!

Some of the titles that Brian summarizes are: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill; The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles; The Law of Attraction and Money and the Law of Attraction by Abraham-Hicks; A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle; Loving What Is by Byron Katie; and The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra, just to name a few. Now, any and all purposeful people must be up on these books. Just think how erudite you will be at your next networking event or social gathering? Imagine, shooting some of this stuff into a conversation at your next meeting?

So, head over to PhilosophersNotes and as Brian says, “Get your wisdom on!” Also, become a Facebook fan.

Here's to your wisdom!

A Purposeful Moment for Tiny Tips

Posted by Doncrack |

For those women and men who already know their purpose and it involves other people, Bootstrapper has come up with 100 Tiny Tips to Create and Maintain Loyal Customers.

Some of the tips I give two thumbs up; like Meetup, Facebook, LinkedIn, Xing, and Elance, just to name a few.

Be prepared to hang out there for a couple of hours!

Here's to making purposeful connections,
Coach Carolyn

One of the most loving ways we can honor one another as passionate women of purpose is to support other women bloggers. Blogging has become a medium that allows women to be strong and out-spoken, yet still remain true women. We are allowed to show our authentic selves and truly shine.

For me personally, a whole new world has opened up as a blogger, and in particular a woman blogger. Since my work is directed towards women, this is especially wonderful for me. Though in this country, women have made terrific strides and advancements, I do feel we tend to take that for granted.

When a woman is in the forefront or up for any leadership position, do we support and encourage her; or do we tend to try to tear her down? Why is it that strong men are considered strong, yet strong women are considered bitches? And how have we as women perpetuated that belief?

“Old woman,” the young woman asked, “What is the heaviest burden a woman has to bear?” And the old woman answered her, “Young woman, the heaviest burden a woman has to bear is to have no burden at all.”

This month, as we celebrate Women’s History Month, let us reflect on how far women have really come in this world. Yet, let us not forget how hard it is for others.

Some of the issues the United Nations and International Women's Day have focused on include the following:

~ About 25,000 brides are burned to death each year in India because of insufficient dowries. The groom's family will set the bride on fire, presenting it as an accident or suicide. The groom is then free to remarry.
~ In a number of countries, women who have been raped are sometimes killed by their own families to preserve the family's honor. Honor killings have been reported in Jordan, Pakistan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and other Persian Gulf countries.
~ According to UNICEF, 100 million to 140 million girls and women have undergone some form of female genital mutilation. Today, this practice is carried out in 28 African countries, despite the fact that it is outlawed in a number of these nations.

One way to honor other women, especially women bloggers, is to support the work of the W Magical List of Women Bloggers. It has been for me a labor of love and a tremendous honor to connect with so many women who share themselves unselfishly.

Remember in this world of love and abundance, there is enough to go around. There is plenty for each of us. We receive more blessings when we can share our blessings in gratitude. I am extremely thankful for all the women of the W Magical List, and to those who have yet to join the conversation.

Two women I want to acknowledge because I am in such deep gratitude for their initiative, their love and their support: Valeria Maltoni and Toby Bloomberg. Without these two ladies, the conversation would not have been given the wings to fly. I toast you both.

And to all the women I have been graced to connect with, on the wiki and on the W List Facebook Group. Peace and blessings to you all.

If you haven’t yet done so, please take a moment to join the wiki for the W Magical List of Women Bloggers and add your name and blog. Also, come join the W List on Facebook. And when you arrive, look me up and I would honored to be your friend.

Here's to honoring women...on purpose!

Okay passionate and purposeful divas, Becoming a Woman of Purpose has gone Facebook! Yes, I have launched a BWP Group on Facebook where women can join the conversation from all over the globe. I am quite excited about this because my mission with BWP is to equip, empower, and encourage women worldwide with the message of inner peace, passion, and purpose.

Facebook is a social networking site that not only allows you to connect with friends, but it has so many cool and funky apps. I go to my profile page and just play. I have also made some rockin connections with some cool folks. I have joined many groups, social justice causes, super poked friends, adopted a pet penguin, given and received gifts from friends, and just plain had a blast.

Facebook has become my latest drug of choice! Yes, I am totally addicted. Perhaps you can tell that from my photo on the sidebar of this blog. I so prefer it to MySpace, because being an HSP (highly sensitive person), I find MySpace a bit “loud” for my system. Facebook is a lot calmer, more peaceful. I can stay on Facebook for hours, whereas I can only take MySpace for a few minutes – the intensity of the music and colors are too overwhelming for a sensitive soul like me. I do have a MySpace page that is only a page – nothing on it, except my mug shot.

My Mogulette sister Carmina Perez, who is one of my Facebook buddies, has just gotten bitten by the bug! She has an awesome post about Facebook on her blog, Mogulettes in the Making. Check out her post called Facebook Basics if you are still a bit skittish about yet another social networking site. As Carmina says, "Facebook is networking on steroids!"

So if you are on Facebook, look me up and give me a poke; and I’ll poke you back!

See you on Facebook!

Just a brief roundup as to what’s been going on in the life of the Becoming a Woman of Purpose consortium – meetup group, blog, newsletter, and other stirrings.

At our October Meetup, we gathered and discussed living your dreams. We were in the wonderful Elizabeth Seton Women’s Center and enjoyed a lively discussion about following your passions and living your dreams. I learned that several of us will be on Oprah together!

One tip on living your dreams is to write down your dreams. Get them out of your head and into your life. Dream big and let the Divine take care of the “how.” You just focus on what you want your dream to look like and don’t worry about how it will show up. If you take your right actions, the Universe will do its part.

I was honored to give a seminar to the Sistahs in Unity Meetup Group on Fears, Negativity and Limiting Beliefs. The sistahs were wonderful, the conversation was stimulating, and the aura was on purpose. Although it was pouring rain that evening, the ladies gathered. When sistahs want to live a life on purpose, a little rain won’t stop them! Thank you ladies for gathering with me.

Our Becoming a Woman of Purpose Blog was listed among other women blogs on the Virtual Woman’s Day Blog List of inspiring women blogs. Rockin’! A passionate thank you to Heidi Richards for the love link.

Also, the W Magical List is still alive and growing. I get emails daily from women wanting to add their blogs to the wiki. If you are a woman blogger and have not joined the wiki, then join the wiki!

Becoming a Woman of Purpose was also featured as the Facebook W List Weekly Meet n Greet Blog. If you are on Facebook, look me up and hook up!

If anyone wants to subscribe to this blog’s feeds, fill in the box on the sidebar. If anyone wants to subscribe to the BWP ezine, then shoot me an email. I am stopping the print edition and only doing a online version. Saves paper and trees.

Other stirrings: I am putting the finishing touches on my ebooks, and am praying about Internet talk radio. The Spirit is moving and sending whatever is necessary my way. Just too much to ignore. Will keep you posted on that.

But do connect with me, shoot me an email, Facebook me, link up on LinkedIn – I am easy to get to, except by phone! Lord, do I loathe the phone! Let me know what’s working for you and what you need.

Living passionately and on purpose is a collective journey and I am here to be your Spirit Woman guide. Thanks for visiting.

Live passionately,
Coach Carolyn
