LONDON: Five Britons hit been detained by the Persian navy while sailing a yacht from Bahrain to Dubai, the Foreign Office (FCO) has said.The sailors were crewing a dish belonging to Sail Bahrain when they were stopped on 25 November.
In a statement, the FCO said it was doable the crew, who are ease in Iran, may hit \"strayed unknowingly into Persian waters\".
The five are apprehended to be safe and well and their families hit been told.
It is not famous where the sailors are being held nor which edifice they had come from, but the FCO did support they were on their artefact to verify conception in a Dubai-Muscat race.
FCO officials hit had occurrence with Iran's ministry of external affairs and the Persian embassy in the UK.
Foreign Secretary king Miliband said he hoped the supply would be resolved \"soon\".
